Actually, you can run OS3.9 in the A600!

Things to have:

1) More RAM. 2Mb isn't enough! Buy that expansion LordV is selling;

2) 3.1 or a special 3.9 ROM and skipromupdates, since the 68000 can't cope with the re-tagged "ROM in RAM" OS3.9 provides;

3) A CD ROM unit installed.

4) Lots of patience and low-resolution screens. The ECS chipset can't do those hi-res screens an 1200/4000 or other RTG system can.

I will advise caution though,

There are some programs that are compiled with 020 dependencies, like screen mode prefs. (found this out with OS3.5)

Though in many cases the original 3.1 versions will do.
