RDP Shutdown

Is there a way to keep WinUAE running when you disconnect from a RDP session into the host that is running UAE? For some reason, UAE just shuts down when I disconnect. Any way around that??

Session should stay open but I have never tested it..

Enable logging (tick misc panel logging option), start emulation, close RDP. Attach winuaelog.txt (if you can't find it, check last line of winuaebootlog.txt)

Log is truncated which means Windows killed winuae without asking it to close first (or it did ask but something prevented winuae from responding). Or winuae crashed for some reason. Does same happen if you manually lock the desktop?

Add -log -logflush command line parameters. ("winuae.exe -log -logflush") and create log again. Check also if *.dmp file gets created in same directory as winuae.exe? Check also Windows event viewer if it reports any application crashes.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. It seems that it is a Windows Issue. When Windows locks the remote it shuts down some programs. I have found a work around and all is well. Thank you for the help.

My apologies, what I did was create a batch file on the Windows side with the following line in it:

tscon 1 /dest:console

I created an icon on the desktop and chose run as administrator when I click the icon the RDP Session exits but doesn't kill the WinUAE instance..

This was not something I came up with on my own, I googled the issue and found the remedy in one of Microsofts forums..
