It looks to me like that ad is in a magazine from OCT/NOV 1997.

It was just an old rebranded version of the Voyager web browser. It was rebranded by Finale Development to include it in a suite along with Final Data, Final Calc, etc.

It would be much better to get the last version of Voyager instead:

That's not at all what I remember. Finale had nothing to do with Softwood's "Final" products.

Finale had made a well-liked and advanced Usenet News reader called New York, and I think Web Cruiser was a development of their own – there might even have been screenshots on their old homepage.

Note that it claims a ClassAct interface, which Voyager does not have (based on MUI).

There is, and it also states there that development was suspended.

There was a lot of hype and excitement surrounding it way back when, but it was never released. idrougge is correct that it had nothing to do with Softwood and the Final x series of programs (unless a dealer was advertising them together). Different dev teams.

Well, you could certainly be right, as it was so long ago that maybe I am getting mixed up.

But, are you sure it was not another rebranded browser (maybe Aweb)?

Thanks guys. It was the first time I had heard of that browser. I've used Ibrowse and have heard of AWeb, Voyager, AMosaic, Amiga lynx.

I thought there might have been a demo or beta released.
