These were on sale dirt cheap just recently after Matay folded... where did I see them...???
http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/...roducts_id=200 I thought I saw them cheaper than that though... A guy called Redrumloa was selling them for $99 (£50) http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQ...sassZredrumloa Last edited by alexh; 03 April 2008 at 01:48. |

Thanks Alex, I believe Red bought the last of the Matay stock, and sold them off cheaply on Ebay a while back (I think we're going back about 2 years now though).
If I can't source a second hand one, I'll buy from Amigakit, along with some other bits and pieces (I've got a bit of a project in mind ;-) ) Regards Rich |

You might want to talk to Michael Boehmer of E3B. He was supposed to be working with the prometheus author on some updates. Specifically DMA support between PCI cards and the Amiga and PCI.
I dunno if it was ever finished, I doubt any drivers were written. Even though the Matay website is closed... they left the data intact http://www.matay.pl/developer/en/ Matay could have won the Amiga PCI war if only they hadnt tried to be all things to all people and only have 1 PCB board across the Amiga range (to lower/skimp on development costs). The board being at the wrong angle for the back slots was unattractive to most users. They should have just created replacement daughtercards the A3000D & A4000D and kept the original design for the A3000T/A4000T. I guess they felt that too many people had "towered" their desktop Amiga's. Last edited by alexh; 03 April 2008 at 02:21. |

Excellent!
I'd never happened across that website before. AFAIK prometheus DMA development was suspended in favour of working in the Deneb Z3 USB board. Hopefully once that is released, and product support settles down, he might start working on it again (having learnt lots of Z3 DMA lessons from the Deneb project hopefully :-) ). |
