SCSI cdrom drive nog working...

HI all,

ive installed a scsi drive to my A590 HD. There is also a terminator at the back of the drive installed. If i start the Amiga with Workbench 2.0 the drive doesnt appear on my desktop. Ive downloaded IDEfix97 and unpack it. When i run the thing inside IDEfix97 called "find device" the program shows me the SCSI drive. But thats about it! When i click on InstallSoftware, the amiga gives me a message that says that he's unable to open the installer.
I have a Amiga 500 with externa floppy drive, a590 Hard Drive and 1mb extra memory. What goes wrong?
I dont know anything about installing on a amiga, only if its a selfinstaller...
I do know how to unpack with LHA and copy files but thats about it.

Can anybody explain to me what i am doing wrong, because i know what to do anymore. Hope you guys are willing to help me out!

You'll probably need to update your installer - as you're using Workbench 2.0.

You can get it here: http://aminet.net/util/misc/Installer-43_3.lha

Install that and then try and install IDEFix again.

Ok, got the SCSI cdplayer up and running. Im happy!!!!
But i burn a cd with lots of adf on this to write them from cd to floppy.
i use this command:
adf2disk <cdname>:<adfname>.adf

I put a floppy in the drive and transfer the ADF. All works great, but with some ADF it is not working. The cddrive isnt "playing" anymore and the "active" light of the HD is burning constantly.
When i turn my cdplayer off the active light turn off and the amiga gives me a warning.
When i turn my player on after that, the amiga is working like a charm. But when i give the same command to him he's doing it again.

What goes wrong?

I'd say the CD-R medium is bad. Try another one or burn at a lower speed.
