The keys are normally left shift for player 1 and right shift for player 2.

Are you by any chance using Winuae and Keyboard layout B? Or have you remapped those keys in the input panel?

Hi bllpla,

use the A500 most common quickstart and disable the mouse (set 'Port 0' to <none>). The left shift button worked for me with these settings to cycle through the weapons.

For the AGA version just use the A1200 non-expanded quickstart. Also works with the shift key here. Do you use a keyboard layout for the controls?

In the same vein, have you tried to see if the Shift keys work:
- in another game that uses them (for example Pinball Fantasies and other pinball games)?
- under Workbench environment? Open a CLI window or rename a drawer or whatever and see if they do modify the case of the typed letters.

Most important question is still if you use the keyboard to play the game

But this is a bad example. Turrican already supports a second joy button for the energy line.

The grenade? No, should be the ALT or Amiga key iirc.

So you use the A1200 quickstart, a joypad and you can't switch weapons with the left shift key? Since you remap keys for your joypad already, double check if you have left shift mapped to left shift

So we're talking about the WHDLoad version then? Will have a look later

Edit : Also in the WHDLoad AGA version the left shift button works. Must be something in your setup (either WinUAE or the WB you use).

OK, so what was it then?

BTW the things TCD mentioned also need to be done on REAL THING! Believe it or not, but yes I always had to physically disconnect my mouse on my A500/1000 because it always interfered with moves and even menu control!

You don't know how many WinUAE settings I tried before I found out that it was just the mouse in port 0
Oh and I also would like to know how you fixed it bllpla. Might be very interesting for others that try the same
