The Bad-games-with-good-covers tread.
Italian people say "mai giudicare un libro dalla copertina", in English it sounds like "never give an opinion about a book when you only have seen its cover"... well, there are many games too with nice covers but poor gameplay... I.e. I remember "Soldier 2000": a tricky cover with a not so beautiful but charming woman in futuristic assault suite (the charm is made by armor and scars) in a lone swamp. BTW, the game was very poor.

I'm far from being an expert on the subject but that cover doesn't really strike me as 'good'!
I always thought the simplistic ROTR box-art was pretty ahead of it's time even though the game was utter bobbins. For reference, the English is you can't judge a book by it's cover.
