What do you mean "to keep it alive"? There's no minimum user requirements to keep a channel alive, unless there's some YouTube TOS update I don't know of (in which case, care to explain more??)

You don't get any revenue from ads unless you have "1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months".

So the channel is not "killed", really. And subscribing doesn't really work in that scheme, the channel needs to be crazy active.

definitely not killed

and as someone who is a youtuber myself i respect everyone's hustle but honestly if you have less than 1000 subscribers you are making maybe 10 cents per video anyway

If your unique goal it's obtain subscribers i think it's better that you move to PSX or console scene. The rest of us simply share and contribute with Amiga things , projects , hardware , tutorials, or anything for enjoy, without stupid children conditions like ..... if i can't obtain xxx subscribers i'll close.

I think if you like close your YT channel, simply close it, if not ..... simply enjoy sharing Amiga things, you no need xxxx subscriber for enjoy making Amiga related videos.

disagree - my Amiga related videos do well views/subscriber wise. in general if you produce interesting and entertaining content your viewers/subs will come

I think the same, first enjoy making Amiga related stuff and enjoy sharing it, if you do it good , subscribers and feedback comes to you. But use this idea of "save my youtube channel" to grow subscribers only make that this hobby be every day more ridiculous, specially when lot of people working hard with software, tutorials, YT, web sites, hardaware, and lot of Amiga things without conditions.

I'm sure if you have the best YT Amiga channel contents, you no need do this absurd promotional action.
