Newbie Question - Creating HD disk image from CF card
I did a quick search but couldn't see anything immediately obvious, so apologies if this has already been asked.
I have one of those 4gb CF cards pre loaded with Workbench 3, WHD Load and lots of games in my A1200. I want to make a "disk image" of this card so that I can load it into Hi-Toro (the mac version of Win UAE.) I have a PC as well so I guess all I need to know is how to convert the CF card into a hard disk file useable by UAE. When I plug the CF card into my computer, it shows as unformatted. Any help appreciated. |

Will create an HDF file. Just run it under WinUAE so you can save it to the PC drive. |

You don't need to worry about Windows showing the hard drive as unformatted. In fact it won't be possible to mount the drive properly in WinUAE if Windows has assigned a drive letter to it, so make sure to deselect the drive in Windows if it does have a drive letter associated with it.
Next, run WinUAE and mount the CF card by selecting it in the Hard Drives tab in the GUI, and it should be mounted and ready when you start the emulation. |
