Question Most rewarding Amiga game ending ever...

You've played for hours this damn game just to see the light at the end of the tunnel... a rewarding ending!

I can recall one or two most rewarding endings, like Silkworm and Indy 3.

Name your favourite ones...

I think most adventure games are those with the most rewarding ending. It's not very often an adventure game has just a picture with congratulations.....

Most adventure games has good animations and stuff in the outros...

Whenever I completed a dizzy game. For some reason, I found those games hardest to complete... just something in the controls I couldnt get my head around.

I can't really remember the most rewarding, though I can remember the most disappointing!!

Syndicate was easily the most disappointing ending ever. After all the lovely CGI movies through the game, and the dozens of interviews with Peter M complaining about crappy endings on games, etc I really thought the end would be something special.... how wrong I was.

As for good endings... I seem to be thinking of Superfrog for that, but then I can't remember how anything else ended.

even if there's kind of a controversy about the Monkey island 2 end-sequence, i personnally think that it was the most rewarding i ever saw given the outstanding originality and fun of it!

It was Turrican, quite tough, completed after Turrican 2 which was much easier, and thus less rewarding. (as far as the ending goes, not the actual game which was equally rewarding for different reasons). Kind of felt like the master of action/platformers after completing that one.
Also, Sinbad and The Throne of The Falcon, one my first games. Doubly rewarding, 'cause the first time I realised it wasn't the ending it should have been since someone really close to Sinbad had died. (his sweetheart princess Sylphani or her brother prince Harun?). Yes, multiple endings even back in 1987 thanks to genius of Cinemaware... So, I played again, got the glorious finale, gave princess Sylphani the love she so much needed... and breathed easily from that day on, for the well-spent money on that external floppy drive. Wouldn't complete any 2-disk Cinemaware game without that one.

I agree, I dunno whether it was the music or what but I felt really satisfied with the ending of Turrican!

Shadow of the Beast II.

Wish digital cameras were around those days, so I could frame it.

I would love to see this ending

Think I'll have to have a bash at it, do remember it being quite difficult and frustrating at times though...

Understatement of the year! Is there actually an ending to this? How on earth did you complete it, Strings?

I know... Even with the walkthrough it's insanely difficult

I remember the part with the caged beast and switches etc. If you miss timed or incorrectly did something, you would have to start the whole game again

One good thing though, these days by using WinUAE and Savestates you can eradicate this problem. On a real Amiga though it would be very, very, very difficult and require great skill + luck...

Nice work Strings

Never thought of using Savestates... thats a great idea. Game thats giving me trouble at the moment is Locomotion. So will try them for that..

And aye the switches were ridiculous mate. When you get so far and mess up.. you'd just leave it for a day or so. Only way to regain your composure in the end.

Moonstone, and what a game!!!
I think it's the only Amiga game on Ebay more expensive today that it was when it was released. Anybody noticed another one ?

Dungeon Master...

Played it to death on the Amiga, but never finished it (disk error). A few years ago I took the challenge again and after throwing many clubs and jamming many monsters between doors and quaffing many potions, I did finally manage to complete it after 10 years or so

Had a tear in my eye...
