Before I start yet another new thread about yet another idea that already exists, could you please tell me if there does exist a "switch" that can generate a "level 7 NMI", as to break out of different assembly language tools when your application has gotten stuck in a loop, or to activate hidden parts in demos?

Shift-F12

That will break into ANY program invisibly, better than an NMI. You can restart a program at any address with the "g" command.

Yes there is - hrtmon.rom - set this up as the Cartridge ROM File and press PageUp to hit it. I use it with HRTMon but I think it just generates a level 7 that any prog could use. You can also download a Action Replay 3 ROM and use that.

But as Codetapper said WinUAE debugger is best for REAL debugging that the system cannot screw up.

May I suggest if you are starting to get technical with WinUAE, first you get back to basics and read the included docs as all this is mentioned there.
