Eek 13,552 ADF Images On 14 Cd Roms

I have just received these 14 CD Roms With 20 RAR files inside each Discs. ( bought thru yahoo uk )

Having finished the UN-RAR-ing process I got around 13,552 ADF Images in Total roughly calculated

If I were to divide the 13,552 by 4 which means there could be 3,350+ of amiga games on these 14 discs. ( on the assumption of one game consists of 4 disks )

how many games on amiga as of the current latest database available ? Just thought I hit a gold mine here

These 13,552 ADF images took 32 GB of my hard drive space

wow that's cool. But paying for adfs is not so cool If all the files are 880k in size, they shouldn't weigh heavier than 12GB! Count them again, 14cds can contain a lot more than 13.500 rarred adfs.

The HOL database currently holds about 3365 games, including compilations. This is probably pretty far from the total amount of (commercial) games released; we expect to add a couple of hundred titles. It's hard to tell how many titles your CDs contain, because

a) There might be non commercial games there
b) There might be more than one copy of each title (different cracks etc)

If it's possible to identify games just by looking at the file names, you should take a look at the MIA lists on this board to see if you got any gems in your collection.

The best way to start sorting through them is to filter them through the latest Amiga TOSEC dat files. Since they are ADF files that means someone familiar to emulation has touched them, which means they might all be in the current TOSEC dat. If for some reason they arethey aren't common, then you have the moral responsibility to 1) rename them yourself and upload them, or 2) upload them them so someone else can rename them.
