Cannon Fodder help.......

I absolutely LOVE this game and its been one of my all time wishes to complete it. However, im ok ish and can get to around level 15 no cheatin etc then it just becomes tooo hard. I downloaded a version with a trainer off planet emu Cannon Fodder (1993)(Virgin)[cr FLT](Disk 1 of 3)[t +4 PDX] (the only one with a trainer) and with invincibilty i thought my prayers had been answered. Then around level 20 it crashes. badly, on all configs etc...... has anyone used this disk and completed the game?

Does anyone have a different copy they could upload to the zone with invincibilty (trainer) etc if so i would be sooo grateful id either cry or do a little dance. Thanks guys

You need to practice more. In comparison with the sequel, the first part is quite easy. Both finished without cheating

Patience, my friend, is the key to success You are probably making the same mistake as everyone else: you are rushing towards the enemy. Make it rush towards you and in the same moment you should back off and shoot. Of course you need some luck also but more it is to be wiser than enemy.

MrRob2, it's nothing to do with using the trainer specifically. Me and a friend tried it recently using savestate between phases so that we could go through the entire game with Jools and Jops and it does crash after mission 20. My friend even tried it on the CD32 version and he says the same thing happens. We think it's something to do with having too many recruits but we're not sure.

It could be the recruits as i guess the game is really about "cannon fodder" ie gettin thru as many men as you can lol. Maybe the developers never took into account people could actually win the game and not die that often. I wonder if anyone has ever heard of this bug (if it exists)...

...related to your 1st post: Cannon Fodder Dies after mission 21

From memory the only .ADF version that works until the end is the one cracked by Fairlight (which I've put in The Zone! for you)

I've played it through to the end using a cracked version, though I can't remember who cracked it.... think DamienD may have solved that little mystery though

The moral of the story? When presented with a choice of versions always pick the one by the best crackhouse Can't go far wrong with an FLT crack (except with Hook of course hehe)

Also i just completed the game now with the CD32 version. Used the level select cheat by holding down both mouse buttons for 5+ seconds right after clicking on the load icon. Got me back to where i crashed though i only had the number of recruits you get to being with ¬_¬
