Haha... thanks a million Prowler! At last I have it on PC! I owe you, if you need some custopmized 3D graphics you know who to ask

StingRay: Haha... yes, I'm very proud of the coding

At least I made some graphics... man, our english sucked so much... and the scrolltext was so lame I wanna cry... haha..

"22:36 AND ITS THE 12TH NOVEMBER"...I'm not sure what year it is though... probably 1992... is it possible to see the original dates for the files, Prowler?

I'm thinking of doing a remake of this in Java. I made a pretty good framework I used for creaating cracktros for Flashtro.com so I can use code from that. I'll post some W.I.P. in this thread - or should I create a new one?

I also found some real mature scrolltext on the disk that apparently wasn't used in the demo:

YO!!!N****R AND N****RHEADS I HOPE YOU FEEL GREAT BECUSE I DO...NOW I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY TO STICK UP YOUR HEAD IN YOUR ASE....THANK YOU, NOW I FEEL MOTHERFUCKING GREAT......THIS FUCKING SCROLL IS MADE BY FLAMER OF ZODIAC...NOW LET ME INTRODUCE THE MOTHERFUCKING GREAT MEMBERS.. WE GOT THE GREAT BLAZER...... MARCUS THE ONE AND ONLY... STOIKO, HE IS A MAN NOT A BOY... AND OF CORSE, ME, THE MOTHERFUCKING FLAMER!!

No need for that, mate. You're very welcome.

I'll have a look at the image I made with TSGUI. If that has the original time and date stamps on it (and I don't see why it shouldn't), then I'll upload a new image for you with them intact. I had forgotten that AmigaDOS doesn't preserve them by default.

http://kestra.exotica.org.uk/demo.php?id=24392 nice... someone has been reading this thread but whoever you are, Zodiac is not the same group as Zodiac from Switzerland...we're from Sweden... and there probably should be a note that the demo is made in RSI demomaker...

Hi bLAZER,

There's a replacement disk image up in the Zone fot you with the original time and date stamps preserved for the ZODIAC and Startup-Sequence files.

BTW, it was February 1990.

prowler

PS. I got it running in WinUAE 0.8.8r8 under Windows 95 with an A1200 10MB RAM KS3.1 config.

Thanks dude!

Wow... 1990... hm... I wonder about that 12:th of November then... Demomaker was released Feb 1991 according to http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=12558
so that seems a bit impossible...

Have a look at your copy of the disk on your mate's Amiga 500. All you need is the list command from the shell.

Yes, I already did before I wrote the comment... I was just wondering how that could be...obviously the date can't be correct. Either Demomaker was released 1990 or something or someone manipulated the date for the files...

We "borrowed" a module from Anarchy back then, so it's no problem adding it. I just though it would be a bit repetitive to have the same music on all the tests...

Hi bLAZER,

I have been testing Stedy's PC floppy adapter for Amiga in my Escom A1200 machine in connection with this thread:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=39042

As it uses a 1.4MB floppy disk drive, I wondered whether it would enable me to read, for the first time, the original HD ZODIAC disk you sent me. It wouldn't, unfortunately.

However, when I inserted the replacement DD disk you sent me instead, a Virus Checker Requester popped up, with the message: DANGER. The disk in DF0: has been infected with the LAMER Exterminator Virus. Remove / Ignore / Display.

???

It's a good thing this disk had read errors when I tried to image it, so that the files I uploaded were clean.

Suggest to your mate with the A500 that he checks it for viruses ASAP!!
