The easiest way to have more than 4GB...

Title tells mostly what I'd like to reach.
In my Amiga 4000D with KS3.0 I'd like to use a 30GB HDD which previously was in use in my A4000T, so all partitions are already made and filled with goodies. I want to keep it with re-installing only the System partition. I'm thinking to install OS3.5 for this set, so I believe a KS remap has to be done.
Have not really experiences with this ehole thing, previously I used this HDD with a 4 GB UWSCSI which had the OS3.9 and OS4 boot partitions...
I found two guides on the net regarding this, but somehow they were not really clear for me. If I use Idefix during bootup, that's enough? I've tried to cover this issue with the TD64 pack what I got on the BlizzPPC system disk, but had no luck.
Thanks for all the help.

Just softkick 3.1 with blizkick the first thing you do in your startup-sequence.

Then after you've installed 3.9, you can split the rom update and add the relevant modules with blizkick instaed and you've got a single reboot 3.9 installation.

As long as the first partition is under 4GB, you're fine with this kind of setup.
