SATA HD on Amiga 1200 IDE

Hi All
i used sata to IDe adapters, all partations done with sfs, and with 1 GB system partation , but the system cannot boot from HD, even if i start with WB3.1 floppy i have to run HDtools for the partation to appear on WB . but still cannot boot with HD .

HD is 80gb . i made 3 partations 1,4,65GB

i did try sata but got no where but i tryed an ide to sata on the main board

yes its ide to sata , using SATA Hard disk . every thing works fine but only cannot boot .

when setting the hdd up did you tick the bootable on the small part ?? in hd tools

Try a different make of PATA->SATA adapter.

I tried different kind adapter also same problem , i can read & write on Disk but cannot boot .

Why would you want to run a SATA HD over an IDE port anyway?

I want to change the OLD hard disk , always error , nowadays difficult to find New Ide HD , This is brand new SATA 80Gb. I may try PFS partition , where can download ?

You have to buy. Not download. It is not free.

Go for SFS instead it's free and supported

Don't go for SATA, use solid state instead.....this isn't 1993 you know

What i did is , cut the first pin and its worked but with second boot , its seem that delay problem , system starting before hard disk comes up , any solution ?
