I dont think so, methinks yoru disk drive is getting flaky. Same happened to me with my Roclslim external. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't!
You almost surely have a dead HD (which you should have removed by now, you don't want to screw something up because of it!) and a flaky diskdrive. |

THX for all the help...........
Any suggestions where I could purchase replacement ..... 1) 2.5" IDE HD (170Mb or so) for my A1200 ? 2) internal floppy drive ? Preferably new & cheap, or second hand. I am in the UK. |

You can try eBay (www.ebay.co.uk) for used gear.
And there're a couple of respected UK shops that will sell you new stuff: Eyetech: http://www.eyetech.co.uk Power Computing: http://www.powerc.com I don't know of any others. These two are to be trusted confidently . By the way, try to nab a bigger HD. You'll fill it with games very soon 1GB would be tops. |
