advice for a graphic card
what graphical card is good for a4000?
i mean ok for 800*600 or bigger and is it possible to play games with a vga/tft monitor? i think it's 15khz, but are there any tricks for this? (i heard of scandoublr, does it do this job of making 31khz?) |

u need a scandoubler to make the amiga 15khz signal to a vga 31khz one. then you feed the scandoubler to the rtg card of the amiga and it auto-changes sources! such cards are the picassoIV (with built-in sd/ff) the piccoloSD64 etc... look for a zorroIII rtg card that has on it's backplate 2 vga plugs, an output and an input (except the psicassoIV and the cv/3d that have a built in sd/ff)

btw, what about buying a mediator, then a voodoo3 card? it seems to be available in several shops, unlike zorro3 cards ...

that's good too, but you will face one stupid thing: u must get a video switcher, manual that is... bah, it sux! see the MISC HARDWARE on the site I gave above, I have a MULTIMEDIA & DESIGN video switcher, that works really well!
all pci boards are plagued with this... |
