controller remap mistakenly detects "NUMLOCK, WinUAE keyboard"
WinUAE 4.0.1, Win10 Pro x64, MSI GS65 Stealth Thin laptop (NO numeric keypad and NO NumLock key).
"Game Ports" controller remap dialog is broken. No matter how I activate the "Remap" or "Remap All" dialog buttons (via touchpad, USB mouse, or SPACE/ENTER keys), it mistakenly thinks I pressed "NUMLOCK, WinUAE keyboard" and assigns it to the first/selected controller button. This makes it impossible to create a custom remapping that doesn't have "NUMLOCK, WinUAE keyboard" assigned to the "Left" direction (because it is first in the list). |

These kinds of ghost events are usually generated by some bad 3rd party Windows helper applications that don't understand all the possible (bad) side-effects.
Run winuae with "-log -inputlog 1" command line parameters (without quotes). Check if extra line(s) appear when you enter test/remap mode. EDIT: If it only comes once and immediately, I can do quick hack that filters all events during first 0.1s or so.. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 16 September 2018 at 12:35. |
