PCl bridgeboards + PCI audio card

How I can set PCl bridgeboards / Mediator (Elbox) 1200TX to play with PCI audio card?

I have tested with ES1370 PCl (Ensoniq) and FM801 PCI (Fortemedia) with AHI 4.18 to 6 and sb128.audio 4.18 to 4.20 or fm801.audio 4.14 using AmigaOS 3.9 BB2 (noromupdates) / default MIXER or GhostMix.

It keeps just complaining that it can't open ahi.device V4...

Only Paula AHI works.

You don't

Mediator (and Prometheus) don't support PCI DMA in real world and PCI sound cards require it. Mediator can use PCI display card VRAM as DMA buffer ("PCI DMA hack") but there is no compatible PCI display card emulated. At least not until PCem implements Voodoo 3.

G-REX (CSPPC/BPPC expansion) does support PCI DMA and it should have FM801 or SB128 driver. This was most likely discussed in main PCI bridge thread.

Note that OS4 is a special case, non-classic OS4 comes with DMA capable FM801 and SB128 PCI driver and they do work in classic emulation (and only in emulation, real hardware can't do it).

RAM on the bridgeboard for DMA
I know in the past RAM was fairly expensive 95-96-97
That is an obvious barrier to putting any on the bridgeboards, am I right in thinking there was quite a problem to assign the ram as Z3 so both the Amiga could access it and the DMA controller of the PCI BUS could too.
Say A HDD controller would dump its contents into the RAM on the bridgeboard and not other memory in the system through the Z3 bus or all the audio in a game was stored in that location so that the PCI soundcard could fetch what it wanted without too much interuption
EDIT: Ooops, sorry didnt spot the WinUAE support bit(Fine software btw) please feel free to ignore if you want too
