Great work! This one works much better: no more issues with faaast AGA systems…

Current known bugs or misfeatures:
- keypresses "pass through" to the Workbench screen (for example if in game you press DEL, when you quit you'll see Workbench asking you to delete selected file)
- no Pause (P) and Quit (ESC) keys?

EDIT:
still random issues with the game quitting automatically right after I select "Start Game": the game starts but after loading the stage and the "Start!" msg the game simply quits by itself.

The keyboard code was buggy, i had to remove it to get the cd32 stuff working and i had limited time - sorry.

I’d be interested in seeing a video of what you mean with the auto quit problem?

- i actually have a feeling i know what this is, can i send u a private build to try tomorrow?

Geezer

Steril, can you please let me know which songs are the ones that misplay so that will give it a second look? Bass instrument is a bit moody and need to finetune it song by song

Sure! PM me, the game is great, we have just to iron out the last few annoyances
I'll do a short video for the auto-quit strange issue.

It also doesn't filter keyboard input: if in-game you press some keyboard key, when you Quit to WB you'll see this output in the shell from which you launched the game.
Would be also a great ESC to quit to main menu, and P to Pause….

Game is a great free remake, but needs friendly approach with the OS IMHO

If I get some time after the World Cup then I'll look into it.

The game was built for stock Amiga's running KS 1.3, it was then adapted to work with AGA. If you're desperate then maybe appeal to one of the other coders as I made the source code available also.

I literally have no idea about OS3+ etc, I don't even know how to install it.

That side of the Amiga doesn't hold much interest for me... anything released up to and including CD32 does though.

If i get time I will take a look, but I can't promise anything..sorry.

You're a better man than me my friend; personally I wouldn't bother... you can't possibly accommodate for people's weird and wonderful setups (and nor should you). If a game doesn't work on an OS above the "classics" i.e. 1.3 - 3.1, then that's their problem really

@hexaae; you run everything via emulation so why not just use an A500 or A1200 configuration and the floppy disk FFS...

You can use you're fancy / buggy OS (as noted by your [only] many WinUAE "bug reports") for other things.

No problem, if you find the time would be great improving compatibility! Thank you for your great game!

Thanks for this version. This is a proof the A500 could do lots of arcade perfect ports, at least pre-1987. Some more come to mind like bubble bobble, 1943, cabal, nemesis etc.

same as well. Blood Bros is a cool game. I would love to see it on A1200. We have a good load of good games already on A500.

At the end Blood Bros is a western implementation of Cabal (same company), should be feasible

Thanks for the insight saimon. McGeezer and you did an awesome job creating BombjackBeerEdition and its soundtrack. This becomes even more visible when compared to the other ports. Betatesting it was a hell lot of fun.

You can say that again

I played Bomb Jack via MAME the other day.

...not only is mcgeezer's version identical graphics wise; I actually found it more fluid / fun to play than the arcade version

I played McGeezer version and yes it looks very much like the arcade, graphically, musically and most of all gameplay wise.

Problem is: with the whdload version I get a systematic access fault to $FFFFFFFC probably original game doing this.
