Verbatin CF on amiga

Hi,

I got 2 x 2gb Verbatin Pro Series CF Cards today.

I just set one up in winuae to use as a HDD in my A1200

It will boot to classic WB in Winuae but not in the Amiga.

I have a ide-cf converter in my amiga and it works fine with my old 128mb Crucial CF card so I know that isnt the problem.

Maybe the CF card is just not Amiga friendly? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve.

What happens if you boot from your WB install disk, can you see the CF card when you run HD toolbox ?

Hi Steve,

Yes, it sounds like the 2GB Verbatim Pro Series card is not compatible with the Amiga. That doesn't necessarily imply that other capacities of this card are not compatible (such is the nature of CF card compatibility, unfortunately).

Have a look at the EAB CF card compatibility list to see if the Verbatim cards are mentioned.
