According to A1k.org last known sale of a 4000T (from Commodore) was just below €4000

For sale: Commodore Amiga 4000T
I know the Commodore and the Escom versions are not the same, but my two A4000Ts unexpanded (A3640) but no HDD, were 1,200 USD new from SoftwareHut in 1995.

I'm not sure what relevance the original purchase price of a different model from nearly 20 years ago has to this sale to be honest :

if it was for use for video editing, why is the tower in the picture empty ?
So what CPU, RAM, CD/FD drives, Zorro cards, original disks/books etc are included? Service history (caps etc)? Anyway I do not see why someone would pay a fortune for this what it looks naked and glued A4kT (if you want 4000 euro for it as you seem to hint). And if someone would buy it for a lot of money, I think he would at least have buyer protection, like eBay etc offers. Just my 2c Good luck selling this vintage item! |

There are no cards in the tower anymore - I don't think the cards would influence the price - those who are interested are interested in the tower.
Regading Buyer protection - it's only effective if payment method is PayPal. But people who want to pay a high price has the possibility to pick it up and hand over the money at pickup - that's also buyer protection. Quote:

Imagine my surprise... there was a fully loaded A4000T on sale for a fraction of that price here recently.

First auction in june for the A4000T ended without a sale (price got below reserve price) - so it's getting a last chance now as "auction item" - otherwise it will be sold in a "private deal".
Auction details can be found here: http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.co...-for-sale.aspx |

You didn't have any luck finding a sucker on the Vintage Computer Forum either then bitman?
There will be many more "chances" to buy this at an inflated rate it seems. |

If he can get 4000 euro for it I may consider letting mine go.

The Price counter isn't working for me in IE 10 or Chrome today?
It did earlier on.... Is anyone else seeing the same as me today? |
