Turtles 2 - no music in game??

Something that has always puzzled me is Turtles 2. There's no music in the game when playing, but if you check the memory after playing the game with a mod ripper you'll find a mod with several tracks. Also found the mod by search rip the disk.... why isn't this mod played in the game?

It's not emulation problems in Winuae, cuz I've played it on my Amiga 500 and 1200 aswell long ago.

Maybe it's just the cracked version.. donno.... someone know???

maybe the mod is used on title screen or some other screen and hasn't been flushed out of memory.

Or it is possible the play routine was broken when the game was released.

nope i have the original, the sound is broken and sound awfull.

I guess it needs to be patched with whdload ^^.

I had the original, and the thing that bothers me it that, if i remember correctly, is that the manual says something along the lines of: “press m to turn music on/off”

I never did get any music to work, too bad since the arcade game had a fun continue tune and the “classic” teenage mutant ninja turtle sample

probably a dropped feature? Now I'm hyped!
