Wicher 500i not booting

I have just got a Wicher 500i, that when I plug it onto my A500, all I get is a black screen on power up.

KS 3.1

1.5mb Ram expansion - tried with and without.

still nothing.

Any ideas?

Hi there, have you solved Your problem, cause i have the exact same problem with mine.
I have tried it in both my a500 and a500+

Had similar issues with mine, and it was the type of CF adapter i was using..... however this has opened a whole world of other issues:

random crashing;
games don't load, or part load and crash
Ctrl A A doesn't reset the machine, just back to a blank screen
Most of the time it takes 5 - 10 mins of turning it on, and off again before it eventually boots. The power LED does not light fully, only part brightness

How are you guys fairing?

Just to update, we managed to get it working, it was the Wicher not sitting properly due to flex on the motherboard. simon_m74 was able to make a very nice clamp to save our fingers from being battered from pressing the Wicher (very firmly)!

I think we struggled to get the RAM working at the time, possibly due to RAM incompatibility as the Wicher is very particular with the RAM it will work with (one RAM may work on one board and not another).

Always try the Wicher with nothing else connected, this way you know whether it may be a problem with Wicher rather than the RAM/CF etc.
