adf to whdload?

Hi,
do you know any tutorial to transform adf format files to WHDLoad?
Thanks in advance.

It is not usually a trivial conversion process at all. The WHDLoad site has documentation but you really need to be pretty well versed in Amiga-specific programming. Which game are you missing?

It is only to learn.
I suppose that If I have a game in adf format and I transform it to Whdload, the load will be much faster.

I've always relied on the fully setup whdload downloads of games and demos but, due to Putty Squad being released I need to learn how to use the installer and the ADFs to make one myself. Can anyone please give me a simple tutorial?

Just download the whdload installer and follow instructions. When prompted by rawdic to insert a disk in df0, use the 'select file' option to read directly from the downloaded add files from system 3

Copy RawDic and the Installer 44.10 to your WB C: folder and start the WHDLoad installer for Putty Squad. Galahad was faster. Yep, select file when the installer ask for the disk images.

WTF is going on with my Amiga setup??!?!

So far I have tried to install Putty Squad (following your kind instructions) on my real A1200, WinUAE using my real CF card hard drive from my A1200 and a fully emulated Workbench environment in WinUAE and, after several glitchy moments I get thwarted at the same point; the part of the install where RawDIC asks you to select a file - I click on the SELECT FILE button (and visually it looks like I have clicked on it) but nothing happens. I expected it to bring up a Workbench directory browser so that I could select the ADF files saved on either my true (cf card) hard drive or the emulated one but literally nothing happens.

Also, the "glitchy" moments I eluded to earlier are where I find that the pointer in Workbench completely vanishes and I have to click-and-hope that I am selecting the correct option.

WTF is going on with my real Amiga AND my emulated ones??!!!?

Does rawdic use an external library for requesters maybe? If you have snoopdos, try that, it could be youre missing a required library

Actually (current and older versions) i have problems in WinUAE with a 68030 config+ running WHDLoad installers. Somehow they freeze or crash the ClassicWB Lite randomly, works fine with a 68020 setup.

In WinUAE you can also insert the ADF disk images into the floppy drive, then there is no need to use the "select file" option.

I can confirm this select file issue in WinUAE (current Beta)+ClassicWB Lite (latest) too. Nothing happens if you click on this option.

Codetapper did have an issue with RawDIC in the way that it had to be imaged to get that 'select file' option to work.

Obviously if you're using an emulator, you can indeed just use emulated DF0: to install from instead and that should work.

If it doesn't, please report back either way and say

Nah, that works fine. Installed the game yesterday with no problems.

Can you check your LIBS directory for 'reqtools.library'?

I suspect its not part of your install, and RawDIC needs it for the file requester to work.

Seems a RawDIC problem. Just tried an older version (v3.2) and there the disk image browser pops up properly. Also the install works fine then. Of course CWB Lite has all important libs installed.

I don't know if this problems happens on real hardware too or only in emulation. Can't test it right know since i've sent away my A1200 for recapping service.
