How well does UAE-X run? Is it as good as WinUAE? I was going to buy a CD32 to play some CD32 games on my TV, could I use the XBox and UAE-X to emulate CD32 games?

I'm pretty sure you can't use UAE-X to play CD32 games
It plays most games flawlessly or close to it But the .adfs can't be in zip files nor can they be .adz either It hasn't been updated in quite awhile in terms of the UI and other stuff it seems primitive to all the other xbox emus Most xbox emus have evolved, supports zip, favourites, etc Until someone decides to make a better port or even port WinUAE and not the linux version like UAE-X this is it 10 out of 10 for effort but since it hasn't been updated its use "as is" I understand about coders and real lives and stuff like that but its a shame its like this |

I totally agree Ash, it's been left in a somewhat 'unwholesome' state. It works very well with adf files but try and use hdf's for games and they seem to slow down considerably, and without zip support it's still lacking.
It also has some annoying bugs with config files and resolution settings |

Yeah I had that, I meant when delete the default config, or rename it and then try and load it again, it tends to crash and throw you back to the dashboard

I just thought let you all know that work has begun on an Xbox spectrum emulator, it's mentioned over at the Xbox scene front page, so that's some good news hey?

It emulates the 48k and 128k Spectrum, has USB keyboard support as well as an on-screen "virtual keyboard". The keyboard input is a bit glitchy, and the user interface needs a lot of work, but it's not bad for an alpha. The author says he doesn't think it'll be too long before there's an updated release. |

Amazingly, this fellow Yod@ is an old school chum and was the only person in my elite Latin class not to get an 'A'.

Ive had a sneak look at the alpha speccy emuator and its looking pretty good. The on-screen keyboard is really nice looking (taken from a photo of a real spectrum 128k I think - new style keys)
