Alpha Kilo dedicated Amiga flight sim hardware?
Not sure if this is the best sub-forum but I was not sure if hardware was more adequate.
Anyway, after seeing trooper's thread I took a look for Amiga on a French local ads site and stumbled upon someone selling a a flight simulation system made by a company called Alpha Kilo. It seems to be some custom hardware gathered together and a A500 is used for the software part: http://www.leboncoin.fr/consoles_jeu...21.htm?ca=22_s I have made a copy of the seller most important picture: Well, I never had much interest for flight sims (except Gunship 2000 but that's a bit different) so I don't know if this was just some usual hardware components and that company just sold a French version of those. But in case it is some genuine custom stuff, I thought some people here might be interested in seeing that. I guess I can try and ask some questions to the seller if some people want to know more (no reply guaranteed though and there is a chance that it is already sold). |

Thanks for alerting EAB members to this flight sim setup, lilalurl!
I'll move this to the Hardware Forum later if Jope is willing... |

Price isn't half bad - someone should buy it and dump everything

There's P-47 Thunderbolt amongst the games in the sale. It might be an interesting experience to play the game with that device.

You have few different weapons to collect but all use same button. Unless there is cheat code to change game to that one from box art

That's cool, yoke, throttle, prop, trim, gear, flaps, all you need to be quite realistic.
Looks like it has software to be an instrument trainer, too. Plus, that input assembly can probably be connected to pc flight sim input boards, for use with fsx or prepar3d. So a good deal indeed. I offer aviation support to whoever buys it The ad says to make contact by phone, not email btw.. |

Apparently the person who placed the ad. did it for his stepfather (the actual owner of the hardware). Perhaps the stepfather has an email but that would need to be asked.
If someone outside France is really interested in the stuff, I'd be happy to be an intermediary - in exchange of some pictures and details once they receive the items - if you have questions for the seller, such as weight and shipping costs. |
