thank you I've just ordered a set of coloured floppies so I might hold off on the others so I can match the labels to the disks. Carrier Command will go on blue, and so on.

Labels look great, good job!
Don't trust those HD floppies though, they are more unreliable than 2SDD ones. |

So far, the 2HD ones I've been using are okay and I wonder if that's because I bought a replacement drive from AmigaKit? It's a new drive so maybe it can read those better than the original amiga drives. I really have no idea though |

Very nice! I see they chose to orientate the disks the other way around.
The nicest disk I ever came across as a kid was this one from Amiga Format. Sadly, the actual game used the regular old blue disks I believe. |

Best to do a test run on A4 paper first with draft quality. I cut those out and folded them around the floppies to see how everything lined up before sending them to the printers. Best of luck! Oh, maybe you could upload yours too. Who knows what we could get started |

What kind of barbarian stores the disks with the shutter up, though.. The label must be readable with the shutter down! :-D

Jope, I agree completely. That's why they are readable with the shutter down! https://twitter.com/AmigaIreland/sta...94043172294657
jelcynek, it's on the EAB FTP server http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633 |

TenLeftFingers thank you for quick response.
Fantastic labels, and on your photo it could be very clearly seen how diskette colour makes difference. Btw. I'm working on very similiar labels. However I would like to put on top of diskette (very narrow part) name of game to be visible from top. I'll show some when I'll finish. |

So I prepared template for Photoshop with label on top, disc number label and proper masking. Red lines are cutting lines. Here is my first attempt for three games:
If anyone would like to use this template here it is: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmMgXSWF0K03je5pGGUbgQWrQ6qNrw Now I need to find good printing company. I'll continue posting in that thread any other labels I'll prepare in case if anyone would like to use it. However I'm not sure if this image file is suitable for printing (I put it only for view how it looks). But that photoshop file for sure could be, I tested that on my home printer and size is ok. |

They look great, thanks for sharing. You sound like you know what you're doing, but just in case; colors look much darker from a CMYK printer. I saturated my images more than looked natural on screen because the first batch came out too dark.

I know nothing about professional printing so every tip will be helpful So far I am assuming that what I see is what I get, but I know that reality is not so easy.

On your computer screen, all colours are made from RGB (Red, Green, Blue).
Commercial printers use CMYK. Many colours in the RGB space simply don't exist in CMYK and the print company compensates if you provide them with an RGB image. https://support.dma.ucla.edu/help/tu...olor_guide.pdf I'm no expert, but there are two things I've learned from experience: 1) if it's a project with only few colours (like a logo design) then I only use colours from the CMYK color space. 2) if RGB images like photos must be used, then I make them abnormally bright on screen. Best to experiment with small amounts first |
