CDTV Elbox Boot Problems

Hey gang,

My CDTV upgrade project churns along slowly. Here is today's oddity.

I installed an Elbox 8MB board and I now have boot issues. CDTV boots from CD-ROM (to either CDTV titles or to a Fred Fish CD) but will not boot from Floppy (Yellow light accesses the drive, but no screen and then CDTV video output quits)

When booted up under Fred Fish, I can do an avail and see the 8MB (plus my 2MB from Super Agnus). Also floppy drive works and can be accessed when booting from CD. You just can't boot workbench from it.

I though it might be my SCSI card (currently no drive on it) but pulling the card didn't fix the problem.

CDTV currently has been upgraded with...

8MB Elbox
Amitrix SCSI Card (No Drive)
Super Agnus (2MB) on a MegAChip board)
Super Denise
MC 68010 processor

Thanks,

Matt

Update: Found a couple of other Amiga Boot Disks (Falcon F-16 and my AmiTrix install disk) and the system booted from both of them. This may be a problem with my Workbench 1.3 boot disk (and the original I copied it from). Does anyone know of a way to check the version number of workbench on a disk without booting from it?

Matt
