WHDAutoLaunch has created to launch automatically a game or demo installed
by WHDLoad without manually looking for hard drive location.

But you can also choose to open only the game's or demo's workbench folder.
This command will search automatically on your harddrive the selected item.
But to run fine you must sort whdload's games&demos according to a standard
sorting protocol (for more details you must read "WHDAutoLaunch.guide" or
"WHDAutoLaunchFR.guide" for french users).

WHDGamesDemosList.guide is an amigaguide containing a list (with short
description) of all amiga games and demos patched by WHDLoad and using
WHDAutoLaunch command (WHDGamesDemosListFR.guide for french users).

In this amigaguide you have just to click on game's or demo's name and
WHDLoad will be launched with good PATH, 'Slave=' & 'DATA=' which
will be automatically found.

For better result, you must use this amigaguide with Guide or Powerguide
to add an useful search function (You can found it on some Aminet SET CDs)

This package contents following files:
C/WHDAutoLaunch
Env-Archive/WHDAutoLaunch.prefs
WHDAutoLaunch.readme
WHDAutoLaunch.guide
WHDAutoLaunch.guide.info
WHDAutoLaunchFR.guide
WHDAutoLaunchFR.guide.info
WHDGamesDemosList.guide
WHDGamesDemosList.guide.info
WHDGamesDemosListFR.guide
WHDGamesDemosListFR.guide.info

if you have many games & demos installed using whdload patch

-install WDHAutoLaunch very quick (2 files to copy)
-install powerguide/guide in c: (2 files)
1)you must first sort all whdload's games following classical HD TREE/

A/

B/
BO/
C/
Ci/8
...8
D/8
E/
F/
...
W/
Wi/

X-Y
Z/

2) define paths for games and demos in file "WhdAutoLaunch.prefs"

3) open WHDGamesDemosList.guide with powerquide

4) Search a game (on your HD) and click just on his name in the amiga guide
=>if selected game is found on your HD a requeter appear (you can rip it of course) and ASK you to choose between :
- open game's folder in workbench or
- launch game via whdload

in the last case, the better version of the game is automatically choosed according to the priority order defined in WHDAutoLaunch.prefs (by example first aga french, if not found aga english , if not found aga, if not found CD32, ...

If a special version is found next command is launch:
'c:whdload preload slave=goodslaveversion.slave data=goodsubfolderforthisversion'

if no special version found just :
'c:whdload preload slave=MAINGAMEFOLDERNAME.slave'

by example

you can have several versions on the same folder:
SimonTheSorcerer/
|--data-aga-fr/
|--data-aga-de/
|--data-aga-en
|--data-ecs
SimonTheSorcererAGA.slave
SimonTheSorcererECS.slave

or

gamename/
|--data-aga
|--data-ecs
gamenameAGA.slave
gamenameECS.slave

or

gamename/
|--data-pal
|--data-ntsc
gamename.slave
....
of you can choose another sort method but you must then modify priority search list in WHDAutoLaunch.prefs
regards
