Hey, take it easy man - what is wrong with mentioning news of similar projects?
As I have always maintained, the Amiga community is very small, with the number of developers even smaller - in my opinion, we should all be working together, collaborating with new ideas and suggestions, not competing against eachother, constantly attempting to bump our own forum threads. The more people working to promote the Amiga the better; regardless of whether it is news about AmigaForever, AIAB, ClassicWB, your own AmigaSYS or this new AmiKit package. Cheers, James |

work together!
Dear Dary, in my mind jmbattle is right. Everyone doing something for keeping alive the spirit of amiga should be very thankful. You, Dary with AmigaSYS, jmbattle with AIAB and Blodwych with ClassicWB should cooperate.
Why not build only one multi configurable package for all user purposes. Beside AmigaSYS, AIAB and ClassicWB and AmiKit in the future, I know from two other french projects. Six of such preconfigured packages are to much. Everything gets minor improvements from version to version. To care about all these little changes makes no sense. Please, collect all your time and force to create the one and only Amiga EmuPack. |

How nice of James to reply in such a good manner and shame on you Dary. AmigaSYS won't earn any respect by flaming competitors!

Everyone is allowed to have his point of view, but not to use such rude words.
Dary has made a very nice package. Sure, he spent a lot of time to create AmigaSYS. So "shame on you" isn't suitable, to comment Darys opinion according jmbattles posting about AmiKit. |

Ok, sorry, then I understood wrong. Your "shame on you" has a very strong meaning, if you remember this expression from Michael Moore on an oscar event according to the iraq politics of USA president G.W.Bush. So in my opinion "shame on you" wasn't suitable to comment Darys crtitics.
Please, don't misunterstand me. Only I wish, that we express our wishs more positivly. Not only bad words, but also more background information, why you can't accept Darys opinion. And for sure. AmigaSYS is very nice;-) and will be even better, if Blodwych, jmbattle ... will cooperate, or? |

"Shame on you mr.Bush" I didn't think of it. To me both projects are nice and I even prefer competition over cooperation here. AIAB, AmigaSYS, Bloodwych's, all should live. Although I always use my own setups I loved AIAB in late 90s, I always send AmigaSYS news to Turkish amiga forums I know and I'm glad to have contributed Bloodwych's project once. Don't worry, I perfectly understand you.

Hello!
I apologise in advance for drifting off topic, however am really interested in this idea of having the various Amiga setups collaborate with eachother - I had not realised there were two other packages in development, and you have a point six packages is arguably a little excessive for one platform. As you may have gathered, I will shortly be retiring my AIAB package, so am looking into ways of passing on the updates or perhaps integrating it into a similar project - a joint effort consisting of AmigaSYS, ClassicWB, AIAB, AmiKit and any others would be rather interesting! Cheers, James ps. bippym, good idea to split the thread by the way |

Jmbattle :
I fully appreciate the fact that , Amiga Community has very bad state. I did not tell you that i'm not interested in Amikitt , but this is AmigaSYS topic, and i was not happy that i found an 1152*xxx resolution picture (not AmigaSYS) in AmigaSYS topic, forum. Sorry , that i caused so BIG outcry , but i dont no english well , i didnt expect that my comment will cause BIG outcry. Ps for all : I have no problem with other projects, dont missunderstand me. |

Wow, good work - you're steadily bringing the interface appearance up-to-date!
With PNG icons and AmiStart added, I would now recommend you look into changing the screen/icon fonts. Don't forget, Scalos supports TrueType fonts for various elements of the UI, so once you integrate this everything will look a lot more professional. The screenshot below should give you some ideas. Take it easy, James |

Yeah, this used to happen a few years ago with shady folks selling AIAB CDs, although to do it publicly through eBay is pretty low.
Dary, you ought to report this as soon as possible... Cheers, James |
