whdload errors
I'm running a registered verion of whdload on my amiga 1200 with blizzard 1230-IV accelerator with 32 mb of memory, and use o.s 3.9. I've had no problems running games with whdload. I've installed, it came from the desert 2 and when I run the program it starts up, then goes to a black screen and whdload aborts and a message saying (Function ' resload-loadfiledevruch' called with unacceptable arguments D0 = $FFFFFFFF PC = $79F7F7B2 (Slave $a2). Does anyone know whats wrong?

Possibly one of the files it has tried to decrunch is broken.
In the CLI type the following: WHLOAD slavename.slave preload nocache filelog What this does is if the game is AmigaDOS files, in the C directory after WHDLoad exits, there will be a filelog file, check it out and the last file it tried to load might be corrupted. Use XLD, or XFD (Master) to try and depack the file externally and see if that reports a problem with the file last listed in the filelog. |

Where did you get It came from the Desert 2 WHDLoad from?
I'm curious where you got this installer since it doesn't exist on the WHDLoad website! Therefore it's probably a fake knocked up by somebody using a generic slave. All official installs ARE on the WHDLoad website...

Yeah it's a fake one, like Antheads before it.
They both use the 1m512k.slave and 1m.slave which are the generic beasties of old. Can't really complain that they don't work very well really... well at least not to the whdload team. |

This is what happens when you download stuff not on the official WHDLoad website. The "patch" surely is shit

wow... fake whdload installs.... what kind of a loser would upload them?
perhaps the same kind of loser that uploads/use pirated whdload keys? Below is a little animation demonstrating what actions you SHOULD take, upon meeting such a loser: |

The website I downloaded it from is http://amiga.magix.name/
I'm going to take killergorillas advice because it does use the 1m.slave, therefore is a bad whdload installer. Maybe someone may write a good whdload installer for it one day. |
