Cool!
I wanted to order a batch myself but the costs of 5 PCB's (which is the minimum order quantity) was keeping me off. Amiga hobbies are expensive enough as they are!

Keep us posted pls!

So how many GB of RAM does it support now? Status update? Are you at the point that you're trying to figure out how to autoconfig the memory? Also that looks to be a 72-pin SIMM socket, did you put enough address lines to support 32MB or 128MB? Is it going to be DRAM/EDO? What's this thing on my neck? What's your favourite colour?

no update for the moment. actually have too little time. need to clear all of my repair-que so I can do this proper without stress..

Anyway. autoconfig ram I think I know how to do.. 128MB is planned. FPMode mem to begin with and we will see about edo.
that thing on your neck is usually called "head" and fav color must be black..

so simply: sorry no update on the memboard at the moment due to too much amiga-workload. but soon I will get kicking in.

Ok, that's understandable, I think we can approve another week to work on your backlog.

How about some fast-ass SRAM instead of FPM? I mean it's not like it's more elegant (or cheaper?) to use a SIMM instead of slapping a couple chips on a board and at the clocks we're likely to use they don't have to be clocked very high- just rambling here.

Getting fast SRAM is great but you dont get large SRAM chips. 1Mb per chip is roughly the limit (There are 2Mb ones too but they are £10 a chip). I went this route on the TF5xx series and people moaned. I'd recommend DRAM in the short term.

Yep, DRAM is definetely more usefull in the A4000, where you need lots of memory for your multitasking needs on a daily basis. This will take time to implement, cause you'll need to understand Refresh Cycles, timings of both DRAM and 68k bus.

I don't have a plan of those things yet, but I don't think this will be easy and requires lots of trial and error.

Or the short version, he really needs his time for this.

Yeah, I thought I had found some large SRAM chips last night and looked at the spec sheet this morning and they were SDRAMs. Never mind.

Anyone got some of the cpu card connectors around? Need both for mainboard and turbocard side. Saw a post on amibay, but 20 pounds per piece is crazy....

I sell them on amibay for £21. They cost me £17 each in a volume of 200. So i cant really afford to sell em cheaper than that.

EDIT: And before i started selling them they were going for 35 each.

Ouch!

Do you have both connector types?

No just the CPU card side. I figured 3 grand at a time was enough risk to take.

I’m hoping to stock both in future and also get a run of A1200 connectors made.

Hi Chucky,
I was wondering has there been any progress on the ram expansion board? Or has it stalled whilst working on the ReAmiga?
