it'll be under 'game' then 'memory stick' (bottom of the list)

btw, www.pspuae.com is a more likely source for help on using pspuae

I assume the firmware is OK because the PSP is a Slimline and it is 3.95

After pressing X I get the error message :

The game could not be started (80020148)

Sony Firmware 3.95 ?

You can't run any homebrew programs without first putting a custom firmware on the PSP.

see: http://www.psp-hacks.com/ for more info

Yes, apart from you cant access PSN network, but there are ways around that. I have a PSP Go, so thats on official firmware, just waiting for the demo save exploit, .

you can always go back from Custom f/w -> Sony f/w

it's the other way around that may not be so easy.

Aye, if its not a stupid rev mobo, then he could use pandora to backup whole flash as it is now, .

@Washac, I would'nt upgrade your psp to latest firmware until you decide what to do, as it could make it even harder to downgrade or change firmware.

Washac - just to clarify, FOL was saying dont upgrade the the latest Sony Firmware, because they are harder to hack.

I'm on a Mac and I've downgraded/hacked mine ok (1000 and 2000). I wouldnt have thought you needed any PC software for it - i never have.

I know this isnt the answer that you want but for portable amiga emu, i use a gp2x. Plays amiga 500 games perfectly and its a homebrew/emulator designed system from the go. The psp version is just too slow and jerky to be of any use i think.

unless you know what you're doing.

here we go again - every time there is a PSPUAE thread on EAB it descends into a 'gp2x is better' thread

You still need frameskip, so it's not perfect (=fullspeed at frameskip 0 with clear sound) on the gp2x.

Hi

Now this is interesting, I am glad this did descend into GP2X is better because I had never
heard of this device untill now, maybe this would be better for me rather to mess around with the perfectly good working PSP.

Seems the new model is GP2X F-200 like the look of the older model though

What do you think ?

If I get one where should I buy from ? Seems the main UK website is not up and working at the moment.

Found this model and site - Looks good to me, worth getting ? http://www.jackofallgames.co.uk/gp2x...le-p-2210.html
