Accelerator Microrobotics model M1230 XA and OS 3.5/3.9
Hi Friends! I read about Blizard accelerators and that 3.1 kickstart can be emulade by something called MAPROM.
May I do something like this to emulate a 3.1 kick on my A1200 and so I can install OS 3.5 on my A1200? How can I do it? REgard's from Brazil.. <akira> Please do not type your signature directly. Use your UserCP instead. </akira> |

MAPROM does NOT emulate a Kickstart
 MAPROM copies the Kickstart into Fast-Ram for faster access, nothing else But you can use a tool like SKick (find it on Aminet to Softkick a Kickstart 3.1 (if you got a Blizzard accellerator use BlizKick)

It does relocation and/or patches of kickstart images. Many relocation/patch tables included in the archive. Preferred use is on machines without MMU. This is the release 3.44, with reloc/patch tables for the 40.68 ks added So, How can I use it on my A1200? Remember, I HAve Standard 3.0 ROm, and my objective is to "emulate" the 3.1 rom or load it into fastRam as you said about Blizkick and MapRom, install the 3.9 OS and I DON'T have an Blizzard one , I have a Microrobotics model M1230 XA one with 16 MB. Simple
- extract the archiv to HD - make a directory called KICKSTARTS in DEVS: - copy all the kickstarts-dir from the archiv into the created KICKSTART dir (all those .RTB files and the others )- copy a suitable Kickstart Rom into the KICKSTARTS dir in DEVS. (kick 3.1 of course) - start SKick with the Icon on HD - Klick on Kick 3.1 and have fun
