Floppy disk cosmicfrog's uploads

found a cd in my collection called Amiga_04 there is a txt file of the contents
if you want me to upload let me know

I also have 2 other disks called Amiga_02 and Amiga_03 which are full of DMS`s lhas, Lzhs and zips but I have no idea what they are as the names are DSK1121 to DSK3440, very help full

unless someone walks me thorugh setting up the dat files to at least rename some of the files I`ll probably just upload those 2 cd`s and let to fourm play with em

my first of 3 cds has finished Amiga_04

Amiga_03 and Amiga_02 will follow some time next week, though they haven`t got any nice Txt or Nfo files telling you what each dms/lha is

Just a tip, why not converting DMS to ADF and comparing against latest TOSEC dats before uploading any Disk archives.
Too much work?
All this is done within a hour.
I have done this (you know, i am intresting to find any rare version of games), but after this i was a little bit frustrated, because nearly all files are currently in TOSEC, nothing special found.
Dont understand me wrong, but i think its also not useful to put another and another double to the Fileserver.

Tend to agree. Those BBS archives/CDs/DVDs are huge and most stuff was added to TOSEC long ago. Not going to download and check the stuff that is on there, but if anyone wants to check them, I'll remove the unnecessary files

@mai
Can you upload the 'new' files from that archive? Afterwards I would delete the original upload.

Could we have an updated text file to go with the slimmed-down archive, please? (Though I think the existing one should be retained as well.)

Yep, expect updated list of the 'cleaned' content soon
Really don't agree on keeping the 'complete' archive. It's really the same as the TOSEC disks if ClearMAMEPro detects them, so no need to preserve those. You could say that TOSEC *is* already an BBS collection

I wasn't talking about the original archive; only the original text file.

Is not possible for those DMS-archives with low size i suppose, in most cases this are trainers, fixes, which you have to add to relevant disk.
If you convert those DMS archives named ......1A, 1B and so on, you get a half Disk 440kb.
I dont know, if i get a proper Disk, if i join 440kb ADF 1A AND 440kb ADF 1B.
Anybody knows?

Then have a look here cosmicfrog : http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=42963
You should use the latest DATs from http://www.tosecdev.org/index.php/do.../10-2009-12-27 though.

These are dms archives which have been split into 2 parts, if you undms each part to the same disk you'll get a proper disk image.

Only that now it is impossible to test/check the fixes/trainers since the disk images they belong to aren't in the archive anymore. And since the disks don't have any real names it is impossible to guess what is what. Or can you tell me which game DSK4350T.DMS is a trainer for?

You could say that TOSEC *is* already an BBS collection
Best joke I read in a long time.
