Dave Pleasance found!

And here he is as he looks now, just a little less hairier than in his C= days.

He now is the Founder and CEO of "The Main Company" which helps people migrate to Australia 'mate'.

He also runs Karakas Mexican Restaurant, in Mooloolaba north of Brisbane.

For a man who is predominantly from sales and marketing, he always struck me as an intelligent, thought provoking man. Born out by Commodore UK being the last to go under.

"which helps people migrate to Australia 'mate'."

That has a totally different meaning when it is misread as 'which helps people migrate to Australia to 'mate'.'

That is so weird to see him again - I remember seeing him at the World of Amiga show in Hammersmith - London after CBM went bust - he was trying to flog CD's of Amiga music... nice guy I thought... good luck to him.

Wow, I wouldn't have thought it was him if I didn't see his name under the picture! Looks like he's lost weight too.

Nice to see him again

now to find other loosely related people too...

I always wanted to find again Jim Drew (no comments) - as I was an EMPLANT dealer in my country back then...

And the guys the signed the A1000 case...

And some AMIGA related Greeks but you cannot help on that.

Was that the one in 1998 ? I was there too. I think I got a signed poster of the singing group that performed the Amiga theme thing, but I've no idea where it might be today ... landfill, most likely.

What was that group and track called ?
Is there a recording of it floating about on the net ?

Yes, but only at weekends.

And there's a reason they say "Watch out, Beadle's About".

I always felt that Dave Pleasance had that shifty Dave Stewart (from Eurithmics) look about him in the early days...

Personally I just have no concern for the guy that continued to lie to the community at large during those early years.

and now he works as immigration consultancy firm.... not surprised.... he will be the first to leave and not turn the lights out.
