CreateProcess() seems to be quite weird win32 function.. It works for me but I have found some comments that it isn't as simple as documented..

Beta 4: - 0x76/0x30 partition types are marked as "PART" in GUI and read/write should really really work.. - exec* command line didn't support command separation ( ; ) characters, batch files supported ("cmd.exe /c <batch file>") - fixed very old left border graphics error in Absolute Inebriation - b3 sprite fix broke other programs, fixed again - Brian the Lion "dialog screen" problem is not anything AGA-specific, BPLCON0 write needs 5 cycle delay, not 4 when written by copper. Not fixed yet, waiting odd number of cycles in copper emulation isn't currently possible and few buggy demos fixed, doing weird things with the blitter and work only accidentally.. For the first time ever Rampage/TEK works! - Absolute Inebriation/VD "red linevector cube inside white object" part now works. Bug in blitter wait, rewrites blitter registers when old blit is still active, normally this would mess up the blit but it worked because write to BLTCON1 freezes the blitter if it causes switch from "extra" cycle fillmode to normal mode. - Rampage/TEK blitter feature workaround added, another buggy demo, it changes blitter channel mode from 0x01 to 0x0D while blit is already active, result is blitter getting confused and changing to weird cycle diagram without D-channel. No writes, no memory corruption, no crash... - above cases (blitter channel mode changing while active) also writes message to log. I am not going to test all combinations Random freezing not yet fixed. I guess version will be renamed to 1.7 or 2.0 because of huge A500 compatibility increase.. btw, I only have single non fully working A500 test statefile remaining, I need more non-working A500 game/demo reports |

Here are the Nightlybuilds - about 50mb - not always stable http://aros.sourceforge.net/download.php and this is a distribution 460mb - It's stable and includes nearly everything http://www.icarosdesktop.org/ If you want to mount Amithlon ones in Aros create Partitions as 30 and set them to 76 afterwards |

OK. This means I'm going to skip one more beta, even though the enhancements and changes are just kick-ass.
These entire lockups under Win7 (maybe others) make it a pain to operate the emulator, so this should be settled first. But no complaints intended whatsoever! 1.6.1 is a stable product, and I consider the 1.6.2 branch an "experimental beta branch". |

Well, I'm just about to run out of ideas now. Lockup reproducible just after 3 resets in sequence in windowed mode A500 quickstart "best compatibility" here.
[edit] This is very probably sound-related. Appears both in Wasapi and DSound modes...1.6.1 sound code still works perfectly. Last edited by andreas; 03 August 2009 at 21:09. |

0x76 partitions are read-write now, but so is everything else. With or without a 0x76 partition existing on the system, NTFS, FAT32, NTFS System (c drive), FAT Zip, partitions show as [PART] and can be mounted as read-write. This is with disableharddrivesafetycheck on or off. The only thing that shows as [OS] is the drive that the 0x76 partition is on.
There's no drive protection at all. |

Brain the lion cd32 doesn't work anymore, last good working 1.6.1.
With 1.6.2 betas you don't have the game menu, just a black screen instead. But you still have the language and logos screens. |

Well Toni, you'll be glad to here this. As far as I can tell the drive protection works as it should and the 0x76 partitions works as they should. I tried many different crazy combinations, including two 0x76 partitions and it all worked. I don't know about 0x30 partitions, I'm not sure how WinUAE is supposed to treat them. |

Everything right with 0x30 too.
Only one question: I've got 1 Partition marked with [UNK] It's handled right too(ReadOnly) - but what is the meaning of UNK? For Ed: the 0x30 are 99.9% the same as the 76 partitions what happend to 76 is always happen to the 30. only different is that you don't need to add the Filesystem in HDToolBox - it recognize them automaticaly. |

UNK = contains some data (first few blocks not zeroed) which isn't any Windows supported partition table or Amiga RDB. Quote:
