Sound FX database?

Hi folks,

I am searching for sound effects ready for my next project. I am well aware that many Amiga CD's come with ripped sound effects (usually from films) and I have plenty of music related sounds taken from various music software.

Is anyone aware of a sound effects database anywhere?
It would be cool to able to go to a website and find sound FX for say an explosion, or helicopter or something else that you can't ordinarily find (without ripping from a film, or game).

Speech isn't so hard, as I can record my own voice in .WAV format and convert it to an appropriate Amiga format later.

Any help, suggestions, or pointers welcome

Added @ 21:04: Urgh! After playing a sample in Windows Media Player over and over 12 or so times, it crashed, grrr. Stupid Windows trash, grumble... grumble...

Edit 2: Problem fixed by using Sound Recorder (found in Start/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/ on Windows 2K), plus it adds simple tools like inserting .wav files (easy to double length of file) and other simple sound tools (assuming I can figure out how to use them!)
