Blizzard 1240/60 simm size support
I'm confused, i have the DCE version of the blizzard 1240.
Amiga resource lists the card as only supporting 64mb onboard but big book says 128mb. I know the scuzz kit takes 128mb...but i thought the card also took 128mb.....can anyone say if it definately supports 128mb on the card itself? |

one site says yes the other no
so you have nothing to loose by trying a 128mb in the card? it will either work or not |

My friend have in B1260 and SCSI kit 2x128MB SIMM. B1260 is the same card such as B1240.

Vesalia sells DCE Blizzard 1240 with description supporting 128MB, and Amigakit sells 128MB SIMM for said accelarator card in the title name of the item in their shop. Primary source however could be the same.... maybe check with those stores to see if they actually known the reality.
Interestingly the 1240 (including Blizzard 1260!) manual on Amiga Resource says the Phase 5 versions of those accelerators only supports 64MB, so maybe DCE version has extra mem support? I always assumed the 1260 could do 128... EDIT: Elsewhere in the manual it says the 1260 accepts 128MB SIMMs, don't you just love contradictory manuals? |

I'm guessing it supports 128mb, just wanted to be sure. Cant see them making a 1230 that does support 128mb then a 1240/1260 that doesn't. |

The DCE version of the 1240 and 1260 with angled SIMM socket definately supports selected 128MB SIMMs
