Just got promoted to "Governor" in seven cities of gold C-64 version. Middle difficulty! Love this game! Also, I managed to find one of the "Lost civilizations" off the coast of teh computer generated continent.

Yes, I'd heard that SH4 was very different from previous games before I started playing it, and I can see why now. It's still a good game, though, but nothing beats the atmosphere and gameplay of SH2, IMHO.

I'm playing Jade Empire (xbox), Super Mario Galaxy/Mario Kart Wii (Wii), and a really interesting new PC adventure game called Void that hasn't even been released yet (I have an advance review copy). Good times ahead!

Gothic 2! And boy is it good, if you get past the first "eek! What kind of retarded control scheme is this!?" feeling. Certainly far better than the Elder Scrolls series of free roaming RPG.

Yay! Finally I just entered chapter 5 and now I'll roam the whole 'sandbox' again for the new enemies that appear in each chapter (hint, hint ). First you should try to do as many side quests as possile in Khorinis, before you enter the wilderness (but I guess you already got that ).

Btw : There is an 'Gothic I mode' in the control options. You should try to change that bit and see if that's better then

It was a combination of both Too bad I killed most of the wolves before I took the apprenticeship quest to become a hunter... but I still managed to finish it Its a cool game to explore in as you have to run and hide most of the time from enemies that are too strong, which is far more challenging than the level growth of the TES games...

But jebus, chapter 5 already !? Did you take free days off just to play the game !?

I'm already playing it for two weeks Chapter 5 is really short, so now I'm in the last chapter Decided to give Gothic 1 a go afterwards (there are some texture patches out there that I need to see ).

At the moment I'm totally hooked on Left 4 dead on the Xbox 360. Next to that I played three games of Hybris and a bit of Cabal on the Amiga (winUAE).

Marbles

I have zoned it just in case there is someone who has never played it... it's a pretty good little puzzle game.

Also I have been trying to play Scavenge - my all time favourite Amiga one on one shooter game but alas the demo version (which is all I have) is almost unplayable - I don't think I will ever get this full game back... oh well I have my Xbox360 but it's not the same!

Wipeout Pulse on PS2 - amazing!

Why no Negcon support on this one though? Wipeout Fusion had it!

(Playing on modded American PS2. It looks at first as if the game might not be compatible with NTSC TV, but if you just go ahead, boot the game, and answer the first two questions that come up blindly with "yes" by pressing x each time, then the game will actually switch to 60 Hz, and from then on it will work just fine on an American (NTSC) TV!)

Also: Panzer Dragoon, Nights into Dreams, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 all on PS2.

Haha - another PSP-to-PS2-port (like Silent Hill Zero and Liberty City Stories).

Definitely the best racer on PSP (until Gran Turismo finally arrives next month (with 4 years delay)).

My mates and I have been playing Left 4 Dead on my xbox 360 and Total Chaos on my Amiga. Both games are great for killing zombies. *BLAM* *BLAM* *BLAM*

I love the smell of decapitated zombies in the morning.

Finished Gothic 1 today. Forgot how great the story in this one is With the right texture replacements it even looks quite okay Controls are a bit odd and fighting with a two-handed weapon is a major pain in the ass Anyway there's a lot in the game that still makes it worth to play today (glad that I give it a rerun almost 7 years after I played it for the last time).

Sadly not Even with the community patch it still looks like a only 70% finished game. They tried too hard to make it a Elder Scrolls like thing and they failed IMHO. At least the bugs aren't that bad anymore, but still it's nothing like Gothic 1 or 2. The game itself is quite fun to play, but it lacks the story and a decent ending, so it's a 'okay' RPG with a big sandbox, but nothing really special. Since the graphics are quite nice and the world still has a bit to offer, it's not completely off to give it a try if there's nothing exciting to play around
