Source for flexible mouse cable

I need cable to fix old mice and rebuild PC mice for the Amiga.
It must be thin and flexible, with 9 (or at least 8) leads.
Do you know any suppliers?

I used an extension lead once. While it's a little bit thicker, it's still flexible enough. Only problem is that they only seem to come in black.

how about a 9 pin dsub/RS232 serial cable or something like that, the connectors are usually perfect for the amiga mouse/joystick ports and long leads in white, but it might be luck to find one with the correct number of conductors.

Too thick and usually too stiff.

Yeah that's true, I've only used them for joysticks.

Farnell have what looks like good cable, but only in 100m reels. If you're planning on refurbishing a lot of mice it might be worth your while...

This stuff from RS looks like it would do and is available on a 25m reel, though it's black: http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/multic...cable/6603992/

Yep. Eight conductor is easy, but it's really difficult to find nine conductor stuff or 8+shield for three mouse buttons. :-/

Even 8 conductors would be of interest since not all mice have a third button.

But the question is not only if the cable is thin enough, but also if it is flexible enough. I've used up my supply of pirate Nintendo controllers, which come with molded D9 connectors and certainly are thin, but nevertheless far from optimal for mice. Buying 100 metres just to investigate is a bad proposition.

Oops, the first one was reels of 100 feet, not metres, so it's only a 30m reel for £130. Expensive as cable goes! Hard to tell about flexibility really - it's thin (3.4mm) and has a specified bend radius of 10x the cable diameter so perhaps you can see what your typical mouse cables easily bend to. I suspect it's probably not that flexible - a radius of 34mm is quite large.
