Sorry, The A500 looked fine, but I hated the A500's Modulator.
My vote goes for the A1200. - Hillsy. |

I voted A3000, because I think it was the best looking. The A2000 is the ugliest, it looks like a big square biege block of peecee. (the A4000 isn't much better, but at least it has some lines and is a pleasant white color). The A1000 is by far the neatest. It's got a keyboard garage for pete's sake!

Why no A4000T on the list?
My A500 looked pretty cool because I modded it in 1990 before the word was coined. I painted it a custom green brown camouflage. Ask Twist about it, we used to use it to compete with the 386/486 systems at the time. I did customize my 500 though with a 50Mhz 030, lots of RAM and big for the time SCSI hard drives. I even had a VochRec One from Impulse on it. I ended up selling it in Saudi Arabia for a lot of money to a very nice British chap. I wish I had it back now though. All I mean is, the A1200's modulator was built inside the machine, while the A500's was external. Over time, the A500's connection to the Modulator got weaker. Well mine did, I had to use folded paper underneath the modulator to keep it from falling out all the time.
I still think the A1200, it was less bulky & better design. Thanks, - Hillsy. |

CDTV.
Audio equipment always looks tons better than computers (Although the CDTV did look like cheap-ass black plastic lo-fi) |

The CD32 is the worst looking of the bunch. Considering the price it was going for upon launch it looks decidedly 1980's in design and construction.

It's a shame they were better at creating good looking computers than they were at keeping up with the rest of the world.

The CDTV for me.....black is beautiful. Honorary mention goes to the A600 for its cute compact look. The CD32 was definitely the worst looking of the bunch and looked like crap when put next to the other consoles of the time (i.e. PSX etc.)

The CDTV looked so cool - I passed up a chance to buy one and am still kicking myself to this day (I had the money for a hard-drive OR the CDTV and I got the HD so I could install Amiga Quake on my A1200)
I loved the look of my A500 though and it's still it's original colour! (Taken apart and cleaned once a year) After that the A1200 - a bit like an anorexic A500 with more angular lines. Worst has to be the CD32. It looks (and feels) cheap and insubstantial to me. @Dr Bong - didn't the PSX come out 2 years after CD32? I'm sure I remember the CD32 being compared to the Megadrive+MegaCD (Genesis) rather than the PSX. BTW, the CD32 looked a damn site better than the Megadrive! |

I've always liked the computer-in-a-keyboard style so I'm going to have to go with the A500. The A1200 looks nice, but from some angles, it looks a little chunky. I haven't actually seen one in real life, so I could be wrong.
I think the best looking computer-in-a-keyboard EVER was the Atari 800XL. Solid dark brown and cream plastic with silver metal strips and buttons. The thing had a quality feel to it. Maybe this is why I never had one - they were way too expensive. |

I'd say the A3000, looks cool especially with a monitor standing on it..and the size, lines etc...it's perfect!
And the sport of adding hardware like accelerattor cards which get hot in the small case...THAT'S SPORT! |

I would have to say an Atari ST looks better. But it is just the colour you know.
Next to that an Amiga 500 looks nice. I've always liked the computer-in-a-keyboard style, and find the lines to be less harsh than the 600/1200. |
