zappo smartstor plus cf card

Hi, I was once an Amiga nut and very much into these machines. Alas today I'm a beginner. So having bought an a1200 off a mate and purchasing a cf card I'm now back in the game. Sadly my knowledge is thwarted when it comes to adding a smartstore that was with the a1200. It appears the cf card is conflicting with the smartstore which is connected to the pcmcia slot, I can only use one or the other. I have been advised by the seller of the cf card I will need idefix but I'm unsure if this is hardware or just software. Could anyone guide me through what to do to use both. Would I also need to have one set as a slave drive for this to work. I would prefer the smartstore to be slave but I notice the cf card has easy to reach jumpers so that might be the way to go. Any help please on this.

Finally my memory ain't as good as the Amiga so can anyone confirm if the 1200 had a built in clock as I swear my original 1200 did.

Also would I need idefix if I used a pcmcia adapter cf card as well as my internal cf card?

Idefix is needed if your CF card is over 8GB. Up to 8GB you can use pfs3ds or pfs3aio.

No personal experience with the smartstore I'm afraid, so I don't know how it should behave.

Hi, OK I will look into one of those programs asap, my card is 8gb. The smartstore maybe around 200mb.
