Great overview of the year, Amigajay. I may get serious about getting a new CD32 in 2016!
I did used to own one, but an (ex)'mate' of mine did a runner with it. Along with about 20 disks! |

I hope 2016 will be the year of a new CD32 extension board, Hermes and/or PyramIDE.

Hi,
Been working on a CDloader for whdload slaves (ECS only) Which games should I try to make work first? I was thinking of games: - not currently running on a CD32 whatever the version - running with whdload & horrible flashes - good/beautiful games - games not needing to save anything (not using NVM here!) my personal list: - Magic Pockets - Gods - Supercars I & II - Full Contact - Leander - Agony - Unreal |

Separate the Gods intro, and Gods can easily be ram loaded as well. |

I think most of those have few or no OS flashes, I'm not totally sure so I can test. However I do have some suggestions:
Robocop 3 has extreme os flashing, though extensive cd32 joypad mapping would be required for a proper release. Some soccer games have extreme flashing, particularly Kick Off 2 series and Goal. I think Total Football doesn't work at all. SWOS would be great (using jst version on cd32 as whdload version doesn't fit in 2mb RAM). Unfortunately of course they all support saving and could do with expanded control support. Flashback has some minor flashing but certainly is a good/beautiful game. |

Jaguar XJ220 has bad OS flashing.
Prime Mover has bad OS flashing. Ruff N Tumble might have an OS flash or two from memory. I think there's some issue with Wiz N Liz WHDLoad that prevents it from running off a CD (not totally sure about that). Primal Rage is technically an ECS game but requires 2mb, so it won't run from WHDLoad on a stock CD32. |

I made a test compilation of WHDLoad slaves on an ISO, this is what I found (tested from loading through to start of the first level)
- Agony: No noticeable flashes - Full Contact: No noticeable flashes - Gods: Around 60 flashes from start of loading to first level loaded. - Leander: About three flashes during the first level load intermission. It's possible that it may have flashed a couple of times during the intro (music cuts out) but maybe not. - Magic Pockets: No noticeable flashes - Supercars: No noticeable flashes - Supercars II: No noticeable flashes - Unreal: A couple of flashes here and there (maybe), not very noticeable |
