CD32 MPEG catridge

Have been tidying out loft and have finally decided its about time to clear out my old CD32 console, games and kit (i know i will probably burn in hell for this)

I have not been able to find any sales of CD32 MPEG cartridges as i have a boxed cartridge for sale.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

@alexh

well I hope it was a fair price, not a market inflated nor a rip off price, after all you both have a community reputation to consider

It sounds to me like the price has yet to be decided.

It is a serious question and i'm not trying to rip anybody off.

The only person i've seen that is looking for one is a guy looking for schematics or an actual cartridge to help with emulation stuff he's doing.

What's everybodys views?

@hodgy

in all truth, if your looking for a price for an item then it pretty much comes down to how much YOU are willing to part with it for.

These particular items can fatch some very high prices when left in the pit of eBay. That doesn't mean its directly worth that, it ment only that two or more people wanted it at any cost.

In the end as I say it comes down to what it is worth to YOU insofar as setting a price...

now getting a sale.... well that comes down to what you believe its worth and what the buyer believes its worth, and if you can both coincide values... well there you go

dont worry about trying to rip people off....at the end of the day they can say no and you can always adjust your price(s) accordingly...

what I typed before was mainly picking on alexh.... its what I do....his avatar looks soooo solom / depressed one has to try anything to cheer him up

You should really consider talking with Toni Wilen first.

Yes, sent it to Toni (if he wants it) and be immortalised in WinUAE history as the guy that donated his MPEG cartridge to improve the emulator.

Besides, I'm sure when he's done he could sent it you back for you to sell on anyway.

Unboxed CD32 MPEG cartridges have been going for between £100 and £150 on eBay recently, if that's any help.

Does the cartridge have a sticker on it saying what the ROM version is?

And which box is it? Is it the plain white box with black writing, or is it the glossy black box with white/red logos and pictures from FMV movies (I think there's a dinosaur on it too, from memory)?

Steve.

At least 50quid, I'd say

That's what I'd pay you for it anyway

Besides that on Demo CD you can find CD32 tv commercial and Seal Killer video. And that's it, pretty lame.
I was unsuccessful in making video track that works with FMV module - link to that thread.

Feck that. We are Amiga enthusiasts, not martyrs.

There is nothing nostalgic about watching a film encoded in MPEG1 at 352x288 with low bitrate stereo sound.

Especially when you could be watching the same film in HD with surround sound.

Don't say this. I have a big VCD-collection and use my CD32 with FMV-module for watching. A lot of cool movies from the eighties and noisless playing with CD-Sound from CD32 is really great

Now i've finally started using e-bay and know what i'm up to, should I sell this cartridge on its own or with the console?

Would a CD32, 2 controller, Diggers, Oscar, etc with all cables and the MPEG catridge sell better together or seperately? (All boxed and in good condition)

I suspect it would be seperately but would appreciate advice.

Theres always people on this forum and Amibay looking for a CD32 so why not sell that to someone from the community and sell the Video Cartridge seperatly?

Steve.
