I've got a 1D.4 in my tower, bugfixed by Eyetech. I've had timing problems with about a dozen 1D.4 boards and a 2B. The problem seems to be most obvious with Apollo accelerator boards. Unless you've got a 68040 or 68060 accelerator and are experiencing an overwhelming amount of random crashes, you don't need to worry about the fixes.
