Yep, same here. It just isn't an Amiga otherwise.

So you'd spend that money to run a lonely, almost unsupported OS ...just to..say you can. Brilliant.

Bored people do a lot of stupid things, but OS4 on a Mac? I would NEVER be bored enough to try this, even if you give me a lot money for it.

you must be joking right I'd love to dual boot OSX and OS4 and I can buy a Mac Mini locally for less than $250..why don't you try to buy a PPC accelerator card for the Amiga nowadays for that money or even better wait for new Amiga hardware

I don't own a Mac and to be honest I don't find it all that appealing to run OS4 on one. Of all the OS's I've used, I like 1.3 and 3.1 the best, on 680x0 hardware. I voted no.

You assume I'd even bother to care to run a useless OS.
I play the greatest games ever (Amiga) on WinUAE and E-UAE/Hi - Toro.
That's all. I just can't see bothering to put the two OS's on the same (PPC of course) computer.
But we all have different ideas I guess.

There is another way for us old skool 68k fans to run OS4 on our trusty steeds...

May I present the A-Max - yes, that's right a fully fledged and ageing Mac emulator card for Zorro equipped miggys...

http://www.amiga-hardware.com/showha...cgi?HARDID=341

Zetty is going to implant an entire imac onto the board and make it work - just like that...

IT WILL WORK AND RUN OS4!!!

If you want an Amiga get an Amiga. Not a Mac.

68k all the way.

A iBook G3 OS4 system would be the perfect on-the-go ahx/dpiv machine for me.

I would agree that a the only way to run OS4 is on a "real" Amiga which is the reason why we loved the Amiga to begin with, but the reality is that we are never going to be able to run OS4 properly on a classic Amiga, so the only alternative would be to run it on hardware that is not Amiga based.

Although, like someone else said. I am not that bored to do it either... I run Windows XP & SUSE Linux right now and that is more than enough ( although its SUSE i use 95% if the time ). Running OS4 at its best on a proper MAC is never going to happen anyway, so not to knock the the original poster of the thread, i just don't see the point in starting it, when the time could be spent starting something that is applicable and can happen now.

No offense klx300r
