SWOS Slowdown on 68030

Sorry if this has been covered before, I did search to no avail...

I recently upgraded my A1200 to 030 (Typhoon Mk2 @40mhz)

But SWOS (all versions) sufferes from slowdown. I have tried 'NOVBRMOVE' as suggested in the readme, this didn't help.

Have tried different Ram sticks, 8mb, 32mb and 64mb. All show the same behaviour so its defo the 030.

Is there anything else I can try?

Works fine on my 020...

Cheers,

Steve.

Some of the blitter code needs replacing with code using the CPU, which i'm going to get around to doing soon.

That's why we've made another HD Version without this "bug".

Why not relocating the main prog in fastmem? It will remove the slowdown problem.

I have sensible soccer 97-98 I think is the last release..
and always there are slow downs in the game
this happen also in winuae...so I think it's a bug in the game not related to any cpu

I've never had a slowdown in SWOS (all versions), with/without my M-Tec 1230. Never seen it in WinUAE too. Strange.

there are small slowdowns.....maybe you didn't notice it because you don't play it very much ....or maybe you play a different version free of bugs

which version you play?

I played it a lot since the 90s, currently an updated SWOS 96/97 version. If there are minor slowsdowns then i can't see them.

There is a sporadic minor flickering (including the player numbers) for a split second, where the players don't move. Do you mean this? I would call this a real slowdown, it doesn't affect the gameplay.

To be honest only the player numbers flickers a bit. I'm afraid my version won't help. I use a preinstalled KGWHD pack version of SWOS 96/97, with the latest season update.

Just watched a CPU vs CPU game. I can't see any slowdowns.

Actually not a complete season update. It's currently with the data from June 2009.
